Sorrento is a coastal town on the Sorrento Peninsula, located across the Bay of Naples in southwestern Italy.
In Piano di Sorrento, mainly citrus fruits (oranges and lemons), walnuts, olives, and tomatoes are grown.
The city of Meta is located on the Sorrento peninsula together with the municipalities of Vico Equense, Piano di Sorrento, Sant'Agnello, Sorrento and Massa Lubrense.
In Vico Equense the Sorrento PGI Lemon is grown, a high quality fruit and vegetable product branded with the Protected Geographical Identification.
In 2018 Massa Lubrense obtained confirmation of the Spighe Verdi recognition for sustainable agriculture and landscape from the FEE
